• "You", "User" refers to any individual who accesses our website or engages our legal services.
• "Services" refers to the pension legal services described on our website, including Pension Entitlement Review, Pension Dispute Representation, and Retirement Benefits Advisory.
• "Agreement" refers to the engagement letter or written confirmation of scope issued before any work commences.
• "Website" refers to the website operated by Amanah Legal at amanahhlees.biz.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using our website or engaging our legal services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract under Malaysian law. If you are acting on behalf of another person, you represent that you have authority to do so.

Formal engagement of our legal services is confirmed only upon receipt of a signed engagement letter and payment of any applicable deposit. Use of this website alone does not create a solicitor-client relationship.

3. Service Description

Amanah Legal provides legal advisory and representation services focused on pension and retirement benefit matters in Malaysia. Our services include:

• Pension Entitlement Review (RM 160): review of pension documents, written plain-language summary, and options discussion.
• Pension Dispute Representation (from RM 630): formal representation in disputed pension matters, including correspondence and hearing attendance where required.
• Retirement Benefits Advisory (RM 380): ongoing guidance on retirement income, survivor entitlements, and beneficiary matters.

Services are available to individuals located in Malaysia. We may, at our discretion, assist clients based outside Malaysia where the matter relates to a Malaysian pension scheme.

4. User Responsibilities

When engaging our services, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information relevant to your matter.
• Inform us promptly of any changes that may affect the advice or representation we are providing.
• Not use our website for any unlawful purpose or in a manner that could damage our reputation or the operation of the site.
• Keep confidential any legal advice, correspondence, or documents we prepare on your behalf.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, layout, and design — is the property of Amanah Legal and is protected by Malaysian intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or republish any part of this site without our prior written consent.

Documents prepared by us in the course of your legal matter are for your personal use in connection with that matter. They may not be used for any other purpose or shared with third parties without our consent, except as reasonably necessary to advance your legal matter.

6. Payment Terms

All fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). Fixed-fee services (Pension Entitlement Review and Retirement Benefits Advisory) are payable in advance of commencement. Dispute Representation fees are agreed in writing before work begins, and payment terms are set out in the engagement letter.

We accept payment by bank transfer or such other methods as may be agreed in the engagement letter. Receipts are issued upon payment.

Cancellation and refunds: Where a client cancels before any work has commenced, a full refund will be issued. Where work has commenced, refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis having regard to the work already performed.

7. Confidentiality

We maintain strict professional confidentiality in respect of all client information. All documents and information provided to us in connection with your matter are treated as confidential. We will not disclose information about your matter to third parties without your authority, except where required by law or our professional obligations as members of the Malaysian Bar.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or any matter that cannot be excluded under Malaysian law.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate an engagement by giving reasonable written notice. Where we terminate, we will notify you of the reason and provide you with any documents necessary to seek alternative representation.

We reserve the right to terminate an engagement without notice where a client has provided false or misleading information, where continued representation would conflict with our professional obligations, or where fees remain unpaid after a reasonable period.

11. Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from the use of our website or our engagement of services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia, with Kuala Lumpur as the agreed venue.

Before commencing any formal proceedings, we request that you contact us in writing at [email protected] to allow us the opportunity to resolve the matter informally.

12. General Provisions

• Entire Agreement: These terms, together with any engagement letter, constitute the entire agreement between us in respect of the matters they cover.
• Severability: If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
• Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of our right to do so in future.
• Assignment: You may not assign your rights under an engagement to another party without our consent.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of our website after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We will not retroactively apply changes to ongoing engagements without your written agreement.
